Sonya joined Tristram Clinic in 1993 as the Plastic Surgery & Dermatology practice nurse when she was responsible for establishing the Tristram Appearance Medicine Clinic. Sonya started by treating patients' facial lines with collagen. Today, Tristram Clinic Appearance Medicine Clinic offers an extensive range of procedures to meet your Appearance Medicine needs.

Sonya has experience with a wide range of dermal fillers. She uses dermal fillers to augment lips and also for the the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles in the face, hands, neck and décolletage. Sonya believes that a safe product and a natural result is important. Sonya attends yearly conferences to keep up to date with the latest international injection techniques and products.

Allergan employs Sonya as the New Zealand collagen trainer where she visits clinics throughout New Zealand training doctors and nurses on the most correct and up-to-date techniques in treatment with dermal fillers. Sonya has a special interest in the augmentation of lips and in volumising the ageing face.

Tristram Clinic was one of the first practices in New Zealand to inject BOTOX™ for cosmetic purposes. During 2001 Sonya achieved her basic BOTOX® injection training and during early 2002 achieved her Advanced BOTOX® training for the correction of wrinkles caused by muscle movement.

Tristram Clinic has a Quantum® IPL (Intense Pulse Light) machine where Sonya treats facial pigmentation (freckles and sunspots), skin rejuvenation and hair removal.

Sonya's other skills include chemical facial peels to improve skin texture and diathermy to remove skin tags.

Sonya is skilled in advising you about specialised skincare regimes and supplements to maintain healthy youthful skin. She can also advise you on the correct application of mineral make-up.
