Highlights included the highly esteemed Cleft and Cranio-maxillofacial fellowship in Taiwan, Synthes traveling scholarship to Los Angeles and Dallas, and the Mentor aesthetic fellowship in the leading facial aesthetic practice in London. This wonderful and humbling experience has permitted a unique and new insight into the latest trends in plastic surgery.
Zak regularly attends national and international meetings both as a participant and lecturer, maintaining close links with colleagues overseas. He is also involved with charitable surgical missions overseas performing repair of cleft lip and palate deformities and other reconstructive procedures.
Practice Philosophy
Plastic surgery is part ‘art’ and part ‘science’. It is essential that a surgeon can communicate well with patients, and tailor a surgical solution to her or his specific request. This necessitates having a range of skills obtained only through extensive training and experience. The surgeon is also a member of a broader team that includes the general practitioner, practice nurse and other professionals.
The goal is to strive to care for patients rather than merely providing a “service to clients”. The relationship starts from the first consultation and Mr Moaveni and his administrative and nursing team are committed to offering a professional yet relaxed experience along with the very best surgical care.
The Consultation
Your initial consultation will consist of a medical assessment and a full discussion of your particular requests and expectations. Photographs may be taken to assist in the discussion as well as compliment your clinical record. You are most welcome to have a friend or relative accompany you at this consultation.
You will receive detailed information about your options for treatment as well as information regarding recovery, healing, and a very honest appraisal of anticipated results. A second complimentary consultation is often scheduled for more complex procedures to make sure you are fully prepared for surgery.
